Another one that causes me to think about my own life I especially liked : in the boredom of middle age and what followed Yes the past can be a dangerous place to be as life is in the present, the moment It’s isn’t a spectator sport, even when our past is the sport we are watching

I just add this living in the past gets worse in old age!

I guess the older we get the more things we have to look back on. I’ve been introspective in this season, I’m not entirely sure why. I find myself each week with no idea what I’m writing for Friday and somehow something comes out in the last minute, I woke up with this idea and it worked. Stoked you’re reading these and even more stoked they make you think. Appreciate you man!

I don't remember most of the specifics of my dreams about war. I mostly just wake up sweating...mostly.

I’ve had those for sure too over the years. They seem to have shifted to just being weird lately and then every so often one of the bad ones creeps in. I’ll take weird all day.

A willingness to help regardless of what we look like or feel like is to me a very positive thing.

When I have very weird dreams which are usually from the frustration of dealing with what is going on in my life, I look for anything that can show me hope or of growth in me. Most of the time it is I’m sorry I’ve…., but I am ready to help. Anytime I can face my fears it is a good thing. If I can step out side of myself & offer help, to me that is growth. I hope you have a wonderful time with your writing workshop! I’m looking forward to hearing about it!🌻

Great points! I appreciate the encouragement, the workshop is going to be a fun challenge and I’m totally flying by the seat of my pants but excited to be a part of it.

I also have recurring dreams. Mostly about being late for something or not being able to find something. Frustration with life seems to bring these on. Other times I have really weird dreams with no meaning to me at all. Last night it was Neil Young and me chopping down trees with a chainsaw??? How weird is that. I think dreams reflect our inner person in that season of life we are in.

Please continue to share from your heart. I love reading these. Good luck with your writers workshop. You were meant for that. Love and Hugs 🤗

Haha yea man many of mine are just plain weird. The workshop should be fun, I was part of one a few months ago a d they asked me to lead one which made me feel honored to do so. Stoked to do it.

“Reflection is healthy if it’s used as a tool to move us forward.”… Yes! I wholeheartedly agree with this statement.

Sometimes we can get stuck just looking back but the growth is in applying the lessons and moving forward with that knowledge. Thanks for reading

I love this. This can resonate with any trauma. I had some pretty incredible childhood and young adult trauma and those reacting dreams are welcome yet dreaded. Stan….your writing is amazing
