Stan Lake is a writer, photographer, and filmmaker from Bethania, North Carolina. He’s been a soldier, preacher, youtuber, government employee, vocalist in a hardcore band, sign builder, videographer, artist, and myriad other random things. The dude has stories for days.

His work has been published in Reptiles Magazine, Dirtbag Magazine, Lethal Minds Journal, Backcountry Journal, Wildlife in North Carolina, SOFLETE, The Tarheel Guardsman, and others.

His poetry collection "A Toad in a Glass Jar," published by Dead Reckoning Collective, debuts in late 2024.

He filmed and directed a documentary about his deployment in Iraq with the NC Army National Guard called “Hammer Down.”
